Here's an interesting one: as funding is cut for museums and the arts in the UK, some are having to get creative in finding new sources of income.

A few things strike me about this article: sadness and worry at the increasing lack of funds available to keep institutions (especially smaller ones) able to share their culture with society. Admiration and renewed reasons to visit when it comes to some of the solutions these institutions are already finding to ease their financial concerns. But in the same breath, an apprehension toward some of the ideas mooted - are museums really the best places for charity shops..?

Lots to think about here - not least: what quirky factors can enhance a museum, and what ideas can in fact take away from their key missions?
